“When we coach and support the people we care about, it’s less about advice and more about the space we help create for them to discover their own answers and inner wisdom.”

Real coaching isn’t about giving advice — it’s about giving space. Too often, we rush to offer solutions, thinking our words will spark the change someone needs.

But transformation rarely begins with someone else’s answers.

It begins with their own voice being finally heard.

When we listen with presence instead of pressure, we create a space where truth can surface naturally.

It’s in the silence, the patience, and genuine curiosity that people reconnect with their inner wisdom.

Our role isn’t to direct their journey but to hold a lantern while they find the path themselves.

In the end, true support isn’t about fixing — it’s about believing in their ability to find clarity from within.

This book, which compliments the book The Coaching Habit, explains how our instinct to quickly give advice often backfires, creating dependence and shutting down real learning.

He emphasizes staying curious longer, asking better questions, and creating space for others to find their own solutions.
